BIOGRAPHY

Mika Shiramizu is the director of research, development, and innovation at Evonik, where she drives technology advancement through open innovation and leads North American technology scouting in partnership with Evonik Venture Capital. She works closely with startups, universities, and national labs to accelerate collaborative R&D.

Mika focuses on innovation for the energy transition, with an emphasis on carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) and the hydrogen economy. She brings technical and innovation leadership experience from previous roles at ExxonMobil and is passionate about building partnerships that advance sustainable technologies.
