BIOGRAPHY

Geoffrey Thyne is the founder of Engineered Salinity (ESal), with over 40 years of experience in oil and gas and recognised expertise in increasing hydrocarbon production through the manipulation of water chemistry. He began his career as a Research Geochemist at Arco Oil and Gas, working across South Texas, California, and Alaska.

Geoffrey has held academic positions at California State University-Bakersfield and Colorado School of Mines. He returned to the University of Wyoming, where his work with the Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute focused on carbon sequestration and enhanced oil recovery.
